A privately contracted flack-for-hire, technically known as a “Senior Advisor for Protocol & Event Management,” is being sought by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for Capitol-area propaganda-fests.
In the agency’s own words, it will soon issue a Request for Proposals soliciting help from businesses capable of providing:
support in the development, coordination and implementation of high-level and ceremonial Agency events that increase public awareness of the Agency's mission, role and responsibilities in USAID/Washington.
As of the April 6 release date of the presolicitation notice (#SOL-OAA-12-000064), this endeavor “remains subject to the availability of funds.”
